Lisalverto Bonilla vs. Tyler Anderson

The Reds are mercifully back home, and could use a good series to bounce back from a tough road trip.

Tonight’s pitching matchup features Lisalverto Bonilla for the Reds, making his 2nd start of the season. His first start went surprisingly well, as he threw 8 innings and only gave up 3 runs, but ended up getting a loss after he didn’t get much run support. Let’s hope the bats wake up for him.

Tyler Anderson has been consistent so far this year, but not necessarily good. He hasn’t done a good job of going deep into ballgames, and generally has given up 4-5 runs per start, giving him an ERA above 6 for the time being. He had his best start of the year on May 6th against the Diamondbacks, but hasn’t thrown a quality start on the road yet this season.

The Reds have lost 6 in a row, which means we’re bringing back a Red Reporter tradition to help inspire them to win. The baby goes back in the basket.

Do the right thing, Reds.
