However, Nick Lodolo’s debut does not go well.

Austin Hendrick - 1 for 3, HR, 3 RBI, 2 BB

Louisville Bats 2, St. Paul Saints 12

Nick “Flamingo” Lodolo was greeted rudely in his AAA debut. He allowed three earned runs over 2.2 innings on three hits, two walks, while striking out two. The bullpen was a total dumpster fire and that includes Lucas “Sad” Sims and Ryan “Jimi” Hendrix. Alejo “Hello” Lopez socked another dinger last night, walked, and scored both runs for the Bats. Jose “Crunch” Barrero singled and walked.

Chattanooga Lookouts 4, Rocket City Trash Pandas 6

Dylan “Dusty” Baker gave up two earned runs over three innings (5 H, 2 BB, 2 K) and then was lifted for the bullpen. Michael “Skin” Byrne struck out one in 1.2 scoreless, and Randy “Marsh” Wynne did the same. The offense was quite stagnant overall with only one extra base hit but “John” Quincy McAfee singled in a run and walked.

Dayton Dragons 1, West Michigan Whitecaps 4

JC “Of Nazareth” Keys gave up four earned over 2.2 innings (5 H, 2 BB, 3 K) but the bullpen was just fantastic. Spencer “Shorty Shorts” Stockton struck out three in 3.1 shutout innings, John “Ghoul” Ghyzel covered one inning with a K, and Stevie “Nix” Branche struck out the side. Francisco “Urby” Urbaez went 3 for 4 with a walk but there wasn’t much else going on in Dayton.

Daytona Tortugas 6, Lakeland Flying Tigers 3

Daytona was the only successful club on the evening and it started with Jason “Peter” Parker who gave up a sole earned run over 4.2 innings. He was effectively wild though he gave up four hits, four walks, while striking out four. Anthony “Hammerman” Zimmerman struck out two in 1.1 shutout innings, and Nick “Mmm Bob” Hanson picked up the save with a shutout ninth. Austin “Tacious” Hendrick just keeps finding that power stroke. He hit his fifth dinger of the year, a three run shot. He also walked twice to keep up with that brilliant walk rate he’s sporting. Hendrick now has an ISO of .183 and a wRC+ of 129. Danny “Cantina” Langigua also went 3 for 4 with a two run home run.
