Hunter Greene “Day” got the start and allowed 4 runs on 4 hits with a walk and 4 strikeouts over 2.2 innings. He was ejected from the game in the bottom of the third. More on that below. The bullpen did their damndest to keep them in the game but the offense couldn’t battle back. Cionel “Sanders” Perez struck out all 3 batters he faced. Alfredo “Sauce” Rodriguez went 2 for 4 on the night and Jan “Levinson-Gould” Hernandez smacked a pinch-hit 2-run dong. Here’s some more details on the Greene ejection:

Chattanooga Lookouts 5, Rocket City Trash Pandas 6

The Chattanooga bullpen went all Cincinnati bullpen and gave up 4 runs in the bottom of the 8th to fall 6-5 last night. Dylan “Patty-cake” Baker started and went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Miguel Hernandez reached base 4 times, going 3 for 4 with a walk and a RBI. Jay Schuyler “Sisters” went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI and “The First” Yoel Yanqui went 2 for 4 with a triple.

Dayton Dragons 2, Lake County Captains 4

The Dragons were held to only 2 hits in a rain-shortened game on Tuesday. Spencer “Beef” Stockton started and allowed 3 runs on 2 hits with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts in 3.1 innings of work. JC “Major” Keys struck out 4 in his 2.2 innings of relief. Ivan “The Great” Johnson accounted for both runs for Dayton, going 1 for 3 with a 2-run blast.

Daytona Tortugas 5, Palm Beach Cardinals 8

Daytona tried to mount a late comeback but it was all for naught as they fell 8-5 to the Cardinals. James “Prime” Marinan started and got lit up, allowing 7 earned runs over 3 innings. Miguel Medrano struck out 5 while allowing a run in 4 innings of relief. Elly “Elly Elly Eh Eh Eh” De La Cruz went 2 for 5 with a 3-run tank and Brandon Leyton went 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored.
