The game last night was a bullpen game that got out of hand early because when Tim “Not Able” Adleman gave up four earned runs in two innings to start things out. However, Brandon “Finnewhat” Finnegan struck out three in two scoreless, and Phillip “Big” Diehl struck out out two in him shutout inning. Mike “Chain Breaker” Freeman went 2 for 3 with a two run dinger, a double, and two runs scored. Max “Fat” Schrock and Alejo “Aloha” Lopez both singled and walked.

Chattanooga Lookouts 1, Birmingham Barons 7

Graham “Cracker” Ashcraft put together one of his poorer starts of the season though it appears the wheels didn’t really fall off until the 6th inning. It’s understandable if he’s undergoing some fatigue at this point anyway. He ended up giving up only his second home run of the season in the first inning and gave up five earned overall in 5.2 innings. Ashcraft allowed five hits, three walks, while striking out four. Pedro Cedrola went hit a double and a triple. His batting average is up to .315 on the year.

Dayton Dragons 12, Lansing Lugnuts 4

Jacques “Machu” Pucheu was stellar over four innings. He did not allow a run with only two hits, no walks, and two strikeouts. Andy “King” Fisher struck out two in a shutout inning, and Stevie “Blanch” Branche struck out three in two shutout innings. The big story of the night was Matt “Yipee Ki Yay” McLain who made his professional debut and went 4 for 5 with a double, a laser of a home run, and five RBI total. Michael Siani went 2 for 4 with a double, a dinger of his own, a walk, two RBI, and three runs scored. James “Live” Free went 2 for 5 and knocked in three while scoring once himself.

Daytona Tortugas 1, Jupiter Hammerheads 8

Almost all of this was bad. Though, Allan “Soda Pop” Cerda went 2 for 4 and rove in the only Tortuga run.
