A Sad Thing - Tito Francona is looking more and more likely to step away from baseball. The old fella has had the devil’s own time with health issues for a good long while and he sure does seem tired. “Francona said, ‘All I can do is get to the park and back. I’m exhausted all the time.” Same, brother. Same.

A Totally Charlie Thing -

The Golem’s Mighty Swing is, as of a minute ago, on order under my name at Prologue Bookshop, the finest bookshop in Central Ohio! I’m sure Devin Mesoraco would find it be a good book, if only his maker had given him the abilities to read and feel.

A Fun Thing - Y’all ever heard of the Great Emu War? Or Saeed Jones, for that matter? He’s a good writer (and he lives here in Columbus!) and he didn’t know about it either and I just learned about it from him and now I’m thinking if you were to learn about the Great Emu War you should learn about it from him, too.

A Dumbs Thing - Mayor Cranley announced yesterday that he is running for governor. He’s every bit the toilet urchin that Mike DeWine is and he deserves to spend the rest of his life in a prison camp no less than DeWine does. I hope they both fall into the river (any river really take your pick).

I’m still weighing my options for a potential bid at the governor’s mansion next year so stay tuned for that, I guess.
