Summary:
The Bats lost 2 of 3 on the weekend and split the series with Nashville. On Friday, they blew a 1-run lead in the 10th to fall 4-3. Jeff Hoffman got another rehab start and threw 4 innings. allowing an unearned run on 2 hits with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Brandon “Begin Again” Finnegan threw 2 shutout innings of relief. TJ “Land of the” Friedl went 1 for 4 with a walk and a RBI. The Bats were able to get the win on Saturday. Bo Takahashi allowed 2 runs on 6 hits and struck out 6 in 6 innings of work. Jose “Oh Eeh Oh” Barrero went 1 for 3 with a 3-run dinger and Rocky “Loves Emily” Gale went 2 for 5 with a double and 2 RBI.
Huner Greene “Day” started on Sunday and did not have his best outing. He allowed 5 runs on 6 hits with 4 walks and 2 strikeouts over 4 innings of work. Tony “Santigold” Santillan struck out 2 in a scoreless inning in his bullpen transition. Max “Shock” Schrock went 2 for 4 with a solo bomb and Bo “Beau” Taylor hit a 2-run homer.
Chattanooga Lookouts
Summary:
The Lookouts won all 3 against Birmingham this weekend. Connor Curlis started on Friday and pitched well, throwing 6 shutout innings, allowing 5 hits and no walks with 3 strikeouts. Offensively, they collected 14 hits on Friday. Wilson Garcia went 2 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI. Braxton Lee “Roy Jenkins” went 3 for 5 with 2 RBI. Ricky Salinas allowed 2 runs on 4 hits with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts over 5 innings. TJ “Hip” Hopkins went 2 for 3 with a dinger and 2 RBI and Lorenzo “Toyota” Cedrola went 4 for 5 with a RBI. “Bride of” Chuckie Robinson hit a 3-run dinger. Graham “Cracker” Ashcraft had another scoreless outing, allowing only a hit and 3 walks with 6 strikeouts. That’s 43 consecutive scoreless innings for Ashcraft. Hector Perez struck out 3 in a scoreless inning. Braxton Lee drove in a a pair.
Dayton Dragons
Summary:
Lyon Richardson got the start on Friday and struggled again. He didn’t make it a full inning, allowing 6 runs (5 earned) on 3 hits with 2 walks and a strikeout. Andy Fisher struck out 6 and allowed a run in 3.1 innings of relief. Reniel Ozuna went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. Saturday didn’t go much better, as they had only 1 hit and got shutout. And the pitchers walked 9 batters so things were just rough all around. JC “Major” Keys started on Sunday and allowed 2 runs and 3 hits over 4 innings. James Free went 3 for 4 with a solo dinger and 2 RBI, Jose “Hello” Tello also went 3 for 4 and scored a run. Victor Ruiz went 4 for 6 with 2 doubles.
Daytona Tortugas

James Marinan started on Friday for Daytona and allowed no runs and no hits and struck out 4 in 5 innings of work. Stevie “Olive” Branche struck out 4 in 1.1 innings of work. Austin “Motorsport” Hendrick went 2 for 4 with a 3-run dinger. Garrett Wolforth “And Prosper” went 2 for 3 with a double. Frainger Aranguren started for the Tortugas on Saturday and gave up 3 runs on 6 hits and struck out 2 over 4 innings. Ivan Johnson went 2 for 4 and Austin Hendrick drove in a run and hit a double.
