The Reds head to KC to keep the win streak a-rolling.

Fresh off a sweep of the Chicago Cubs and riding a 4-game win streak, the Cincinnati Reds are in Kansas City tonight to open a 3-game series. That means they’ll have the DH, and tonight they’re up against a left-handed starter in Mike Minor, hence the somewhat unorthodox lineup.

News

  • Jose Barrero has been added to the upcoming Futures Game roster as an injury replacement after absolutely crushing the ball for AA Chattanooga. He’s since been called up to AAA Louisville, where he’s only just appeared in 6 games.
  • Graham Ashcraft was named AA South pitcher of the week, again, as he continues to put up zero after zero on the mound.

Roster Moves

  • Both Michael Lorenzen and Michael Feliz are heading to AAA Louisville on rehab assignments, paving the way for their return to the bullpen mix in relatively short order. With Jeff Hoffman already there (and closer to a return), Tony Santillan getting work in as a reliever, and both Lucas Sims and Tejay Antone aiming for a late-July return, the Reds bullpen looks to potentially be getting the reinforcements they needed months ago right as the current group seems to have, mercifully, figured things out a bit. The AristoReds!
