The Reds head to the Big Apple to take on the Mets.
News
- Our minds have been pre-occupied with trade stuff today, but Joey Votto comes into this game with a 6-game dinger streak. Believe.
- The Reds signed 11th rounder Shawn Guilliams today, meaning that they’ve now signed their entire 2021 draft class. Nice.
- The Reds may not have done anything of note, but the Mets did. They brought in Javier Baez and Trevor Williams today, just as the Reds leave Chicago. I wonder if Javy just hitched a ride on the Reds’ plane?
Roster Moves
- Some cleanup and continuation from the last few days. Moose and Senzel are both playing for the Louisville Bats this weekend on rehab assignments. With the DFAs from Wednesday, the Twins claimed Edgar Garcia off of waivers and Josh Osich elected free agency.
- Another move today, as Michael Lorenzen is back with the team as expected. They optioned out Tony Santillan to make room. Santillan was the only guy out there with options. Oh well.
