Brandon Larson Honorary Star of the Night
Graham Ashcraft - The kid is taking MiLB by storm. He pitched five shutout innings and hasn’t given up a run in AA.
Louisville Bats 2, Nashville Sounds 8
Hunter “John Deere” Greene took the start and could have been a bit better but his defensive didn’t do him any favors. Greene made it through 4.1 innings and allowed four hits, two walks, with seven strikeouts. However, Green allowed three earned (five total) runs in those innings. Tim “Able” Adleman struck out two in an inning of relief, and Shane Carle “And Me” pitched a clean inning from the pen. Logan “Van” Morrison knocked in the only two runs with a two run dinger. He also hit a single.
Chattanooga Lookouts 4, Birmingham Barons 0
Graham “Booty Ship” Ashcraft was fantastic once again. He pitched five shutout innings while allowing only two hits, walking four, while striking out five. He’s still sporting a 0.00 ERA in AA. Hector “Spooky Spector” Perez struck out three in two innings and “Ed, Edd, and” Eddy Demurias did the same. Robbie “Choir Boy” Tenerowicz knocked in three with one swing of the bat. Lorenzo “Ricola” Cedrola went 2 for 4.
Dayton Dragons 10, Lansing Lugnuts 8
Noah “Ark” Davis did not perform (4 IP, 5 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 3 K). The bullpen wasn’t much better even though John Ghyzel pulled out the save. He did walk the bases loaded though. Juan Martinez went 2 for 5 with a two run dinger and two runs scored, and Eric “Yo-yo” Yang knocked in three with a big fly of his own. Mariel “Mario” Bautista went 3 for 5 with a double and a RBI.
Daytona Tortugas 3, Lakeland Flying Tigers 1
Miguel “Mike” Medrano was able to keep the Flying Tigers at bat during his four shutout innings (5 H, 3 BB, 3 K). Brett Lockwood struck out five in two shutout innings of relief, and Vincent “The Fonz” Timpanelli struck out two in his shutout inning to pick up the save. Speaking of Timpanelli, you might want to read this article. Garrett “Were” Wolforth swatted a solo dong and went 2 for 4. Ivan Johnson went 2 for 3 with a double.
