With the Cincinnati Reds trailing the Philadelphia Phillies 4-2 in Monday’s makeup game, Nick Castellanos strolled to the plate in an enviable spot. A huge spot. The spot, really, as the bags were drunk and there were already a pair of outs.
Mind you, Nick had already bonked in the first pair of runs for the Reds on the night, but was once again tasked with flipping the scoreboard in favor of the good guys nonetheless. Fortunately, Nicky Boomrocket is the baddest damn man alive when it comes to these kinds of situations, and he responded with the first 4-run dinger of the Reds season, one that put them ahead 6-4 and made evvvvvvvverybody happy.
