The Reds come off a much-needed off day to return home to face the team that knocked them out of the 2020 playoffs. The Braves are really in the same boat as the Reds are, in that they’re still lurking around .500 in need of a big push to put themselves into a playoff spot.
News
- The Braves may be without their star, as Ronald Acuña Jr. left the game yesterday with back tightness.
- Also, they’re pitching a bullpen game tonight, with Jesse Chavez having been rumored as the first one taking the ball.
- Speaking of teams being without their stars, Sonny Gray has some back tightness so his rehab start in Louisville is getting pushed back a bit. Bummer.
Sonny Gray woke up Wednesday with a sore back and his start in Louisville will be pushed back two days

Roster Moves
- As mentioned here already, Lucas Sims is hitting the DL. Scott Heinemann is back up, and the Reds’ bullpen is a bit tighter than it was.
