The Reds look to get back on the good foot.

Minnesota Twins v New York Yankees

Just go ahead and flush that last series down the toilet. Pick up that toilet and throw it off your roof while you’re at it, too.

News

  • Jesse Winker and Nick Castellanos are still in-line to be starters for the NL in July’s All Sar game as of the latest in voting totals released today. That said, Mookie Betts is gaining on them, so go vote for the Reds duo as many times as you can to keep them repped.
  • It’s not ‘news,’ at least not yet, but it’s interesting to hear former Reds starter Anthony DeSclafani speak openly about not using foreign substances while pitching, as he did to the SF Chronicle’s John Shea. It’s interesting purely because we highlighted while he was with the Reds that he didn’t fit the newfangled ‘high spin’ prototype that it seemed the Reds were looking for under their new pitching gurus, and I’m merely lobbing this out there since the Reds seemed to move on from Disco around the same time they fell hard for another right-hander who’s the biggest posterboy for the investigation into sticky substance usage. It’s just...interesting.

Roster Moves

  • There were none of note today, though it’s worth pointing out that “Roster moves” is, in itself, a complete sentence.
