Louisville Bats 2, Toledo Mud Hens 10

The Toledo Mud Hens stomped a Toledo Mud Hole in the Bats last night thanks to an 8-run 4th inning. Bo “Knows” Takahashi got the start and, well, you can imagine how that went. He gave up 5 runs on 8 hits with a walk and 4 strikeouts over 3 innings of work. Cional “Colonel” Perez and Edgar Garcia each struck out 3 in scoreless innings of relief. Alfredo “Sauce” Rodriguez went 1 for 3 with a RBI and Bo Beau Taylor went 2 for 3 with a walk and a RBI.

Chattanooga Lookouts 16, Pensacola Blue Wahoos 3

Chattanooga scored 13 runs in the last 2 innings to beat the brakes off of Pensacola. 8 of the 9 starters recorded a base hit and 7 of those 8 had at least 2 hits. Damn. Connor Curlis wasn’t particularly great in his start, but still only managed to allow one run. He walked 5 and struck out 3 over 4 innings of work. “A little bit” Alexis Diaz struck out 3 in 2 perfect innings of relief. Jose Barrero went 4 for 5 with a double, 3 runs scored, and 4 RBI. “The First” Yoel Yanqui went 3 for 4 with a dinger and 3 RBI while Leonardo “Ninja Turtle” Rivas also had 3 hits and scored twice.

Dayton Dragons 6, Great Lakes Loons 5

Dayton erased an early deficit for the second night in a row, scoring 3 runs in the 9th to win 6-5. Eduardo “Slytherin” Salazar started and allowed 5 runs on 7 hits with a walk and 7 strikeouts over 5 innings of work. Quin “Thankfully Not Tom” Cotton went 2 for 4 with a solo tank and “Make It” Raniel Ozuna went 1 for 4 with 2 RBI.

Daytona Tortugas 8, Bradenton Marauders 2

This was a continuation of the game that was postponed on Tuesday night. Jason “Peter” Parker pitched 4 innings, allowing 2 runs on 2 hits with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts. Stevie Branche struck out 6 in 2.2 scoreless innings of relief. Garrett Wolforth “And Prosper” went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored and Wendell Marrero also drove in a pair on a 2 for 4 night.

Daytona Tortugas 0, Bradenton Marauders 3

The bats fell silent for Daytona in game 2 on Wednesday. Tanner “Hardly Knew Her” Cooper threw 4 innings and allowed 2 runs on 4 hits with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. Reyny Reyes got 2 hits and that was pretty much it from the Tortugas in game 2.
