Louisville Bats 9, Columbus Clippers 0

Louisville had an offensive explosion to get their first win of the season on Thursday. Vladimir “Bad Glutes” Gutierrez started and threw 6 innings, allowing no runs on 1 hit with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts. Mark “The Glove” Payton went 3 for 5 with a double, a run, and a RBI. Scott “Bootylicious” Heineman went 1 for 5 with a 3-run triple and Beau “Knows” Taylor went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and a run scored.

Louisville plays again tonight at 7:00 PM EDT.

Chattanooga Lookouts 6, Rocket City Trash Pandas 3

Nick “YOLO” Lodolo took the mound for the first time in 2021 and pretty much picked up right where he left off in 2019. He threw 5 innings and allowed no runs on 2 hits with no walks and 10 strikeouts. He has still not walked a batter in his minor league career. Jose Garcia went 2 for 3 with a 2-run dinger, his second in as many nights. Yoel Yanqui “Doodle” went 1 for 4 with a solo blast of his own.

Chattanooga Lookouts 7, Rocket City Trash Pandas 10

Michael “Feel the” Byrne started game 2 for the Lookouts last night and was solid in his 3 innings of work, allowing no runs on a hit with 2 strikeouts. Unfortunately, the bullpen imploded after that, as they gave up 10 runs over the next 3 innings. Offensively, Narcisso “Malfoy” Crook went 2 for 4 with a solo tank. Mark Kolosvary went 1 for 2 with a walk and a 3-run homer and Leonardo “Raphael, Michelangelo, Leonardo” Rivas went 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored and a run driven in.

Chattanooga plays again tonight at 7:15 PM EDT.

Dayton Dragons 0, Great Lakes Loons 1

After a lengthy rain delay, Dayton had their game called after 5 and a half innings of play on Thursday. Though Noah Davis got the loss, he was outstanding last night. He pitched all 5 innings and allowed only 1 run on 1 hit with a walk and 8 strikeouts. Brian “Cool” Rey and Mariel “Mary Bats” Bautista each hit doubles.

Dayton plays again tonight at 6:05 PM EDT.

Daytona Tortugas

Daytona’s game was banged due to rain. They’ll play a double-header today starting at 5:00 PM EDT.
