The Bats were not working on Tuesday night, as Louisville could only muster 1 run in their loss. It was a bullpen game and Josh “Oh Shit” Osich got the start and allowed a run on 3 hits with no walks and a strikeout over 2 innings. Brandon “Begin Again” Finnegan threw 3 shutout innings but allowed 3 hits and 3 walks in the process. Alfredo “Sauce” Rodriguez drove in the only run in a 1 for 4 night.
Chattanooga Lookouts 4, Tennessee Smokies 0
Nick “YOLO” Lodolo just keeps on dominating, man. He shut down the Smokies last night to the tune of 7 IP, 5 hits, no runs, 1 walk, and 8 strikeouts. The kid is good. Nick Howard continues to pitch well in his rebound tour, throwing another shutout inning while collecting 2 strikeouts. Wilson Garcia went 2 for 4 and drove in a run and Yoel Yanqui “Doodle” went 2 for 3 with a double, a walk, and a RBI.
Dayton Dragons 11, Quad Cities River Bandits 7
Dayton was on the good end of an offensive explosion on Tuesday. Braxton “Night at the” Roxby threw 1.2 shutout innings out of the bullpen. Jake Gilbert only allowed 1 run in 3 innings while striking out 4. The rest of the pitching staff was bad. Alex McGarry “Glenn Ross” went 3 for 4 with 2 solo dingers. Juan “Gone” Martinez went 1 for 4 with a 3-run blast and Quin Cotton also had a solo homer.
Daytona Tortugas 14, St Lucie Mets 9
Daytona bounced back from a 5-run first inning to come back and win 14-9. Carson “Ex” Spiers bounced back after that aforementioned first inning and ended up allowing only 1 other run the rest of the outing. In all, he pitched 5 innings, allowing 6 runs on 7 hits with a walk and 6 strikeouts. Rece “Peces” Hinds went 1 for 3 with 3 walks, 2 RBI, and 3 runs scored. Tyler “Auto Parts” Callihan continues to rake, as he went 2 for 5 with a walk, a double, and 2 runs scored. And Michel Triana reached base 5 times, going 3 for 4 with 2 walks, 3 runs scored, and 4 RBI.
