Nick Howard - 1 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 1 K

I think it’s still appropriate to put this guy up on a happy pedestal considering what he is trying to do.

Louisville Bats 4, Memphis Redbirds 5

I still hate the fact that these cowards won’t admit what kind of red bird they are. Riley “Bro Briley” O’Brien was ok. He allowed two earned runs over 5.1 innings on four hits, two walks, while striking out five. He also helped himself with a RBI single. Jose “Ponce” De Leon struck out three in 1.2 scoreless of innings of relief but the lead was blown late by Braden “Sinking” Shipley. Cheslor “Cheetah” Cuthbert went 2 for 3 with a three run bomb and a walk. Brantley “Ring My” Bell, who I did not know was still in the Reds organization, went 2 for 5.

Chattanooga Lookouts 3, Mississippi Braves 1

Matt “Quick” Pidich gave up only an earned run over 5 innings for the Lookouts (3 H, 0 BB, 5 K). Michael “Byrne Baby” Byrne struck out one in two shutout innings of relief and Nick “Chowder” Howard struck out one while picking up the first save of his epic return. Narciso “Bent” Crook knocked in all three Lookout runs with a double. Jose Garcia singled and walked, and Lorenzo Cedrola singled and walked twice.

Dayton Dragons 5, South Bend Cubs 2

Spencer “Pond” Stockton gave up two earned over 3.1 innings on four hits, two walks, while striking out four. That’s not super great but the bullpen did pick him up. Jacques “Frenchie” Pucheu struck out two in 2.2 scoreless, Braxton “Broxy” Roxby struck out three in 1.1 scoreless, and “Ed, Edd, and” Eddy Demurias struck out one in 1.2 scoreless to nail down his second save of the year. Michael “The Future” Siani went 2 for 5 with two walks, his fifth stolen base of the year, and a run scored. Bren “And Stimpy” Spillane went 2 for 4 with three RBI, a walk, stolen base, and a run scored as well.

Daytona Tortugas 5, Jupiter Hammerheads 1

Jason “Peter” Parker gave up an earned run over four innings (3 H, 2 BB, 4 K). However, the real good work was done by Frainger “Danger” Aranguren (2 IP, 3 K) and Steve “Blanche” Branche (3 IP, 4K) who just nailed shit down to preserve the lead. Tyler “Tommy” Callihan and Wilfred “Good Dog” Astidillo both hit solo dongs. Alex “Chest Hairy” McGarry went 2 for 4 with triple, HR, RBI, and two runs scored, and Gus “The Bus” Steiger went 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBI.
