The Cincinnati Reds have played two games in Coors Field against the Colorado Rockies so far this series. In those games they started their Opening Day starter and a guy who threw a no-hitter last week. In those games, they got absolutely trounced.
Now, they’re attempting to salvage both the series and the three-city road trip through teams they should be able to beat if they’re going to be ‘good’ this year, and need wins both tonight and tomorrow to make it a winning one. On top of that, they’re going to be doing it without Joey Votto once again, while each of Nick Senzel and Mike Moustakas are out of the lineup and banged up, too.
No pressure or anything, Reds.
First pitch is coming up here at 8:10 PM ET with Tyler Mahle hopefully playing the role of stopper. The ageless Jhoulys Chacin will go for Colorado.
Please, just don’t get down 10 runs early again, at least.
