Louisville pitched a shutout for their second win of the season on Tuesday. Ashton “Go Go Gadget” Goudeau was great in his Bats debut, going 5 shutout innings while only allowing 1 hit and no walks with 3 strikeouts. Braden “Donut” Shipley, Brad “Breath” Brach, and Shane Carle combined to throw 4 shutout innings in relief. Mark Payton and Jeff “Likes Big Butts” Heineman each had a couple of hits while Cheslor Cuthbert drove in 2 on a 1 for 5 night.
Chattanooga Lookouts 4, Montgomery Biscuits 2
Hunter Greene “Day” got his second start of the season and was fantastic yet again. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits over 5 innings while walking only 1 and striking out 7. Michael “Feel The” Byrne came in and allowed only 1 hit over 4 innings of relief. Alejo Lopez went 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI and Mark “Prices May” Koloszvary went 3 for 3 with a double, a run scored, and a RBI.
Dayton Dragons 4, Lansing Lugnuts 9
This game was actually tied after 9 innings, and then Lansing blew it open with 5 runs in the 10th. Eduardo “Slytherin” Salazar started and went 5 innings and allowed 4 runs (3 ER) on 6 hits with no walks and 3 strikeouts. Eddy “Demerit” Demurias struck out 2 in 2 shutout innings of relief. Miguel Hernandez and Brian Rey “Ban” each hit solo dingers and Quin Cotton went 3 for 5.
Daytona Tortugas 2, St. Lucie Mets 4
Carson “Ex” Spiers started for Daytona on Tuesday and was great, allowing only 4 hits and 2 walks with 9 strikeouts over 6 shutout innings. Unfortunately, the bullpen. Tyler “Big Tom” Callihan went 2 for 3 with a double, a walk, and a RBI. Danny Lantigua had the only other hit, going 1 for 4 with a run scored.
