Reds at Dodgers, Game 1 - Preview and Lineups

Syndication: The Enquirer Kareem Elgazzar via Imagn Content Services, LLC

Nothing cures a 7-game losing streak than going 3 time zones away to face the defending champions who are probably still the best team in baseball!

The Reds head to LA behind who is their de facto best starter right now, Tyler Mahle. Mahle threw 6 23 shutout innings in his last start, only to see the abysmal Cincinnati bullpen blow the game multiple times. He’ll face Julio Urias for the Dodgers, who is coming off a scoreless outing of his own, with 11 strikeouts.

David Bell is rolling the dice and stacking the lineup against Urias with righthanders. No Joey Votto or Tyler Naquin today, with Alex Blandino and Kyle Farmer getting starts at the corners. Hopefully we’ll see Moose tomorrow.

Go Reds.
