The Cincinnati Reds are rolling along at 7-3, and will send their top starter in righty Luis Castillo to the bump with eyes on winning this series against the San Francisco Giants. The Giants, though, are also off to a rock solid 6-4 start, and will look to turn the tides in their home park tonight with Opening Day starter Kevin Gausman on the mound.
You’ll recall Gausman as guy non-tendered by the Reds once upon a time, but at least their wallets are thicker. I digress.
Anyway, what appears to be a great pitching matchup on-paper will get underway at about 9:45 PM ET on Tuesday night, and Joey Votto will be aiming to sock another homer into McCovey Cove.
Go Reds. Lineups below, including a Giants one that looks a lot different now that the Reds have a righty starter back on the mound.
