Last night’s game sucked, huh?
Such is an evening as a Reds fan.
Today, all they have to do is beat Yu Darvish, who may be mounting an NL Cy Young award season currently. NBD.
The Reds just saw Darvish a weekend ago, where he pitched six innings of shutout baseball, striking out eight. He did give up some hits in that one, though, the seven he gave up ranking second most on the season. He’s only given up multiple runs once this season, all the way back in his first start of the season versus the Brewers.
Since that game, Darvish has pitched 46 innings having allowed only five runs, total, with 58 strikeouts to eight walks. So, yeah. That’s what they’re up against tonight in the Friendly Confines.
Trevor Bauer takes the hill for the Reds. He’s putting up a fine little season himself, you may recall.
