The Reds were back to their winning ways last night, and look to keep it going and take another series against the Brew Crew.
The big story tonight will be the return of Sonny Gray. After coming out early in his start on September 1, and skipping his start on the 6th, Sonny started last on the 11th and gave up 5 runs in 3 1⁄3 innings in that start. Word is that he’s feeling better after this rest, and the Reds could use a full-strength Sonny Gray if they happen to make the playoffs. That could be the difference between a historic run and another first round flop.
He’ll face his former teammate in Brett Anderson, making his third start of the season against the Reds. He’s had mixed results in those games, but threw 6 innings of 2-run ball the last time he faced off against Cincinnati.
Nick Senzel and Tyler Stephenson are back in the lineup for the good guys.
Another 6:40 start. Go Reds.
