Baseball is back. Back again. Tell a friend.

We here at Red Reporter have long been tasked with reporting on the Cincinnati Reds, or at least doing the bare minimum of periphery on the topic. So, it would be a fundamental dereliction of our duties to fail to report to you when the Reds report on Red Reporter, and that’s precisely what we’re going to report today.

The Reds, folks, have reported.

Unless my eyes deceive me, that’s the sweet swing of Jesse Winker, on whom we reported earlier this week.

Today marks the first day of July, as well as the first day the Reds have been back together, this time with their spring training summer camp taking place within the confines of GABP (as well as at the Prasco Labs facility up in Mason that will be used by their taxi squad). The first official workouts will take place on Friday as the club prepares to open their 2020 season on July 24th, when they’ll be presumably playing some team somewhere in the Midwest under the watchful eyes of precisely zero fans.

Details, details...

For now, though, we have baseball on which to dream again, at least until the inevitable point where a crisis pops up, something that looks more unavoidable for all Major League Baseball at this juncture. They’re going to have a go, and we’re going to have a watch.

Welcome back, baseball.
