MLB Draft 2020: Cincinnati Reds select Texas A&M RHP Christian Roa in 2nd round

One day removed from adding Pennsylvania high school OF Austin Hendrick to the franchise with the 12 pick of the 1st round of the MLB Draft, the Cincinnati Reds plucked another talented prospect to add to the farm.

With the 48th overall selection, the Reds selected Texas A&M RHP Christian Roa, a 21 year old whose 15.8 K/9 was second among all SEC pitchers in limited action in 2020. Roa is the 3rd pick already from an A&M program that had quite the talented roster, as Asa Lacy - Roa’s rotation mate - already was a top 5 pick last night.
