Not that you have anything else to worry about or watch for tonight, Major League Baseball tonight announced the results of the Gold Glove awards and, of note for people who read this particular website, Tucker Barnhart was named the winner of the National League Gold Glove award at the catcher position.
Congratulations to Tucker Barnhart, the 2020 National League Gold Glove winner at catcher!

It is his second Gold Glove honor after also taking home the hardware in 2017! pic.twitter.com/pAeZyfhEH2
You’ll remember that Tucker won the Gold Glove back in 2017, making this his second piece of hardware. This year, he beat out Jacob Stallings and Willson Contreras for the award. He’s only the third catcher to win multiple Gold Gloves as a Red, joining the GOAT Johnny Bench and Johnny Edwards.
He’s the first Reds catcher to win multiple Gold Gloves not named John, Johnny, or Johnathan.
This year, the Gold Glove Award was based solely on the SABR defensive index, which, well, NERDS!
Anyway, congratulations to Tucker.
Back to your regularly scheduled anxiety attack.
