Division Series, day two - Open Thread

A full slate of games on the docket today.

Of course, since this is 2020 and everything it terrible, last night saw evil triumph over good twice. The cheatin’ ass Astros thumped the Oakland As, 10-5, while the Evil Empire themselves bronx bombed all over the Tampa Bay Rays, 9-3.

Today, the National League gets into the action. At 2 PM, the Braves and Marlins kick things off in Minute Maid Park, with Sandy Alcantara facing off against Max Fried.

At 4:30 PM, the Astros and As lock up for Game 2. Framber Valdez takes the hill for the Astros, while Sean Manaea pitches for the Athletics. The Athletics will very much need to win this game to avoid having their backs directly against the wall.

At 8 PM, the Yankees and Rays kick up for Game 2. This should be a fun starters matchup, with 21 year old Deivi Garcia starting for the Yankees, while Tyler Glasnow (not as young as I thought he was at 27) gets the ball for the Rays.

Then, for the night cap at 9:30 PM, the Padres and Dodgers begin their series in Arlington. San Diego still hasn’t named a starting pitcher, so far as I can tell, while Walker Buehler goes for the Dodgers. There will likely be bat flips.

Enjoy it all with us right here, all day long!
