After falling despite a late comeback last night, the Cincinnati Reds will try to even things up this afternoon against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Reds will send Luis Castillo to the mound, who continues to have quite the second half. He’s toned down the walks by a ton and has increased his K/BB ratio to 5.69 since the break. Arizona, who is still very much in the wild card race, will counter with rookie left hander Alex Young. Young is having a very good showing in his first MLB season, putting up a 3.84 ERA in 11 starts. This will be his first appearance against the Reds.
Go Reds. You’re our favorite team.
