While the Cincinnati Reds have been languishing over the last month doing everything they can to ensure awesome goals such as don’t lose 90 games and try not to finish last in the division again, the Milwaukee Brewers have been taking care of much bigger business. At 86-70, they’re a full 4 games up on their closest competition for the second NL Wild Card spot, and are still technically in the mix to win the Central outright.
Not to mention, they’ve been doing all of that despite the loss of superstar Christian Yelich, which is just that much more remarkable.
The Reds will welcome the Beers to GABP for their final home series of the season beginning Tuesday, and will do so with ace Sonny Gray on the mound. Meanwhile, Milwaukee will counter with Adrian Houser, the burly righty who has actually put together a rather cromulent season in 2019 to date. The Reds, of course, will try to wreck that narrative as best they can.
First pitch is set for an early 6:40 PM ET, so plan accordingly.
Go Reds.
