Another Sunday rubber match as the Reds come off a rare one-run win.
It’s a battle of trade deadline acquisitions for non-contending teams today. Trevor Bauer gets the ball for the Reds. After a few rough starts in a row, he was masterful his last time out, and looks to carry that momentum into his penultimate start of the season.
Marcus Stroman gets the ball for the Metlegs, in his 10th start with New York. He’s the guy the Reds should have been calling about at the deadline. Let’s hope he’s more Glendon Rusch today than he is Al Leiter, as the Reds will be donning their 1999 unis.
First pitch is set for 1:10 PM ET. Go Reds.
