Day 1: Surprise Saguaros 4, Glendale Desert Dogs 2

The Reds minor league affiliates are playing for the Glendale Desert Dogs during this round of the Fall League, and they lost their first contest of the fall season.

Jonathan “Baseballywood” India went 0-3 with a walk and a strikeout, as did Tyler Stephenson. Jose “Jerry” Garcia also went 0-3, but did not walk or strike out. Remarkably consistent, these baby Reds.

The Dogs as a whole only managed three hits on the day, and the two runs were dingers by Jeren “Jenner” Kendall and Micker Adolfo.

On the pitching side of things, Jordan “Jacob Jingleheimer” Johnson got the start and pitched the first three innings, allowing 4 hits, 2 earned runs, and a walk while striking out 3. The only other Red to see pitching action was Dauri “Death” Moreta, who allowed two hits but struck out the side in his inning of work.

Day 2: Peoria Javelinas 10, Glendale Desert Dogs 3

The only Red in the lineup on day two was India, who posted the same line as the day before, (0-3, 1 K, 1 BB). The Dogs offense hasn’t exactly caught fire yet, as they only managed another three runs on four hits in this one. Devin Mann and Blake Rutherford both managed doubles.

On the pitching side of things, only Diomer “George” Lopez was handed the ball. He gave up 1 in 1.1 innings pitched, with 2 hits and 2 strikeouts.
