5 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 6 K
Louisville Bats 6, Lehigh Valley IronPigs 1
Jesus “Wanders” Reyes took the start and offered a bit of stability. He gave up one earned run over 4.1 innings on five hits, three walks, while striking out three. “Stonewall” Jackson Stephens struck out two in two scoreless, and Joseph “McCarthy” Mantiply struck out three in two scoreless as well. Alfredo “Little Pasta” Rodriguez went 2 for 5 with a double and two knocked in. Alex Blandino went 2 for 4, and so did Narciso “Babbling” Crook.
Chattanooga Lookouts 4, Jackson Generals 1
Brad “Sharpie” Markey was wonderful. Markey pitched five freaking perfect innings. He struck out six. Jesse “James” Stallings struck out two in a scoreless inning, and Juan Martinez struck out three in two scoreless innings to pick up the save. Gavin “Green” LaValley went 2 for 4 with a run scored, Jonathan “Star Of” India went 3 for 4 with a double and a run scored, and Stu “Balls” Fairchild singled and walked. India has been absolutely killing it since being promoted to AA. He’s not hitting for a ton of power but is showing good contact and excellent on base skills in a relatively small sample size. A good showing in this final month would do a lot for his prospect rankings which saw a slide.
Daytona Tortugas 2, St. Lucie Mets 8
Austin “1984) Orewiler took the start and was bad (2 IP, 4 ER, 4 H, 3 BB, 2 K). Aneurys Zabala struck out one in a scoreless inning, and “Finding” Dauri Moreta pitched a clean 8th. Bryant Flete “Of Foot” went 2 for 4 and Hendrik “The Mighty” Clementina spanked a two run shot.

None of the pitching was good so let’s focus on the hitting. Carlos Reina went 3 for 5 with a solo dong and two RBI, and Garrett “Wooly” Wolforth hit a two run tater.
