Cory “Second Chance” Thompson struck out two in his scoreless inning of relief. Jonathan “Bollywood” India went 2 for 3 with a walk, solo dinger, and two runs scored. Tyler “Kennesaw Mountain” Stephenson went 3 for 3 with a walk and a double, and Michael Beltre went 3 for 4 with a RBI.

Ryan “Blooming” Lillie started the game and was decent. He allowed only three earned runs over six innings on five hits, two walks, while striking out two. John Ghyzel struck out one in a scoreless inning, and Diomar Lopez struck out two in two scoreless. Jameson “Whisky” Hannah went 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored, and Bruce “Almighty” Yari went 2 for 3 with a double and a run scored.

Dayton played two on Monday due to postponing their game in Sunday in the wake of the tragic mass shooting in Dayton. In Game 1, James Marinan took the start and gave up three earned runs over two innings on three hits, two walks, while striking out no one. Mariel Bautista hit a solo dinger. Mike “Superstar” Siani went 2 for 4 with two runs scored and his 34th steal of the year, and Randy Ventura went 2 for 3. Michael “Wonder Bread” Lofstrom went 1 for 2 with a RBI and two walks.
Dayton Dragons 1, Lake County Captains 0 (F/7)
Connor Curlis took the start and was just masterful. He pitched six shutout innings over six innings on two hits, no walks, while striking out 10. Clate Schmidt picked up the save. Brian Rey hit a dinger that all but sealed it.
Billings is off for their All Star break.

Graham “Cracker” Ashcraft gave up two earned runs over four innings on three hits, three walks, while striking out eight. Tanner “Mister” Cooper struck out four in three scoreless innings, and Anthony Zimmerman struck out two in his scoreless inning to pick up his first save. Garrett “Wooly” Wolforth his a solo dinger, walked, and scored twice, and Luke “Skywalker” Berryhill hit a solo homer as well.
