Reds at Cardinals, Games 1 and 2 - Preview and lineups

MLB: Cincinnati Reds at Miami Marlins Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports

4 games in 2 days? Against the Cardinals?

Go read Freddy’s preview yesterday to get the details on the first two pitchers of the series, since they’re starting the first game after the rainout yesterday. Trevor Bauer vs. Dakota Hudson. Should be fun.

The second game features another pitching duel in Sonny Gray vs. Michael Wacha. Very quietly, Gray has amassed a 0.90 ERA in August, along with 40 strikeouts in 30 innings pitched. For my money, he’s pitching as well as anyone in the NL, and gets one more August start to make his case for NL Pitcher of the Month.

He’ll face noted Reds killer Michael Wacha, who gave up 2 runs in his last start in Cincinnati on August 15th.

No Senzel in the lineup for the Redlegs, as Freddy Galvis gets a rare start at his natural position.

First pitch at 1:15 for Game 1, and 7:15 for Game 2. Go Reds.
