The Brandon Larson Honorary Star of the Night
Christian Colon - 4 for 5, 2 2B, 3B, 3 R, 2 RBI
Louisville Bats 9, Columbus Clippers 0
Louisville beat the brakes off of Columbus last night. Tyler “Poppin’” Mahle started for Louisville and pitched well. He went five innings and allowed no runs on three hits with only one walk while striking out six. The bullpen then combined to only allow one base runner the rest of the game. The offense fired on all cylinders, too. Jose “Ask” Siri was 3 for 4 with a double and a triple while scoring twice. Christian “Repent” Colon was 4 for 5 with two doubles and a triple while driving in two and scoring thrice. He was also a couple feet short of the cycle. Nick Ciuffo “Links”, who is a player I just now found out about, went 3 for 4 with three doubles and two runs scored.
Tejay Antone starts tonight at 7:00 PM EDT.
Chattanooga got rained out last night. They’ll play two today with the first game starting at 5:15 PM EDT.
Daytona Tortugas 11, St. Lucie Mets 8
Daytona scored eight runs in the eighth inning to come back and win 11-8 last night. Ryan Lillie started and was not good. He allowed seven runs on nine hits with two walks and three strikeouts over six innings of work. Jose Garcia went 2 for 5 with a double and a 3-run dinger. Alejo Lopez went 2 for 5 and drove in three. Bryant Flete went 2 for 3 with a walk and two runs scored.
Aaron Fossas starts for Daytona tonight at 7:05 PM EDT.
Dayton Dragons 2, Lake County Captains 13
Woof. “Michael” Jordan “Michael” Johnson started and was not good. At all. He allowed six runs on six hits with a walk and no strikeouts in just an inning of work. The bullpen wasn’t much better besides Moises “Piss Hands” Nova, who threw two scoreless innings. Juan Martinez went 3 for 4 with a triple and scored a run.
Eduardo Salazar gets the start today at 12:00 PM EDT.
Billings was off last night. Justin McGregor starts tonight at 7:05 PM MDT.
Greeneville Reds 0, Elizabethton Twins 1
Graham Ashcraft started last night for Greeneville and pitched well. He threw six innings and allowed only one run on five hits with one walk and seven strikeouts. Unfortunately the offense didn’t help him. They only collected only four hits on the night. Garrett Wolforth went 1 for 3 with a double.
Greeneville plays tonight at 6:30 PM EDT.
