“Slippery” Sal Romano took the start and got the job done in short work. Sal pitched two shutout innings on two hits, one walk, while striking out three. Grimm (2 IP, 0 K), Herget, (1 IP, 1 K), and Alaniz (1 IP, 1 K) locked this one down to give the Bats the win. Ryan “Going” Lavarnway really knows how to make an impression. He only doubled dingered on a 3 for 3 night with 4 RBI total and two runs scored. Brian “Beef” O’Grady went 2 for 4 with his 27th home run of the season and two runs scored.

Chattanooga Lookouts 12, Montgomery Biscuits 7

Johendi Jiminian “Cricket” gave up three earned over 3.2 innings on six hits, two walks, while striking out three. The bullpen overall wasn’t good. Ibandel Isabel knocked his 25th dinger of the year. Tyler “Bat Flips” Stephenson went 3 for 4 with a double, 3 RBI, and two runs scored. Gavin LaValley has been on a little bit of a heater lately and also went 3 for 5 with a double, 3 RBI and two runs scored.

Aaron “Fuzzy” Fossas gave up two earned runs, two total, over six innings on 12 hits, no walks, while striking out two. Michael “Crotch” Byrne struck out one in one scoreless, and Connor Bennett struck out the side in the 8th. Jose “Cherry” Garcia went 2 for 4 with a RBI and a run scored, and Lorenzo Cedrola went 2 for 4 with a double.

Eduardo “Salamander” Salazar pitched six shutout innings on two hits, one walk, while striking out five. Clate “Hillbilly” Schmidt stuck out three in 1.1 scoreless innings. Mariel “Mario” Bautista went 2 for 4 with a double, RBI, walk, and a run scored. Juan Martinez went 1 for 2 with two walks.
