Another chance for the Reds to stop the bleeding tonight. Anthony DeSclafani takes the hill for the good guys, desperate for a good start. He is, of course, coming off of a not-so-good start against the Nationals, and it’s wishful thinking to think that he can do what Luis Castillo wasn’t able to last night. Fingers crossed that he can give the Reds a good start.
He’ll face Miles Mikolas for St. Louis. Mikolas has faced the Reds 4 times so far this season, and hasn’t beaten them yet.
The Reds’ lineup is threadbare again, with Joey Votto and Jesse Winker both out again with back issues and Eugenio Suarez missing the start of this one with a wrist injury that took him out of last night’s game.
A little bit earlier start tonight, as they’ll throw the first pitch at 6:40 ET. You’ll also get to see the 1976 throwbacks, which will look pretty sweet.
Go Reds.
