It would appear that the collective pulse of you fans who contribute to this particular survey took an upturn last week, though that came as the Cincinnati Reds had won 2 of the first 3 against the Chicago Cubs in last weekend’s once-pivotal series. Of course, we know what happened immediately after that, and I’m certain we’ll see that when next week’s results come out.
Perhaps a good bit of the positivity reflected in this past week’s data is due to the rise of Aristides Aquino, the rocket-armed dinger monster the Reds unleashed in RF who has done nothing but homer his way across the country and into our hearts since taking over for the traded Yasiel Puig. If he truly keeps any of this up, the optimism for the Reds heading into 2020 and beyond should be pretty well meteoric, especially given the current state of the team’s starting pitching in front of him.
Vote on, votey voters.
