Farmers Only: Mitch Nay Is Bae

I hate myself for making that title. I mean it.

Mitch Nay - 2 for 3, HR, 3 RBI, BB, 3 R

Louisville Bats 7, Lehigh Valley IronPigs 3

This was a good ‘ol reliever game. Austin “Light Tower” Powers took the start and struck out three in two scoreless. I have zero idea how Jackson Stephens did not give up more runs. He allowed six hits and walked four over three innings. He gave up one run. One. Brad “Foxy Boxing” Boxberger is pitching where he basically start his career. That’s cool. Justin “Mother Goose” Grimm struck out one in 1.1 scoreless. Jose “Ask” Siri doubled twice. Mitch “Cutting” Nay smacked a two run dinger on a 2 for 3 night with three RBI total, a walk, and three runs scored.

Chattanooga Lookouts 4, Jackson Generals 6

Wendolyn Bautista took the start and was not good. He gave up four earned runs (six total) over 3.1 innings on nine hits, one walk, while striking out one. Jay, Jiminian, Cox, and Strahan combined to throw 5.2 shutout innings to try and keep this one in reach. Alas, it wasn’t good enough. Gavin “Lush” LaValley went 2 for 5 with a double, 3 RBI, and a run scored. Yon “Sleepy” Mendoza went 2 for 4, and Stuart “Little” Fairchild went 1 for 3 with two walks.

Daytona Tortugas 2, Charlotte Stone Crabs 13

Vomit. Austin “1984” Orewiler got worked (4.1 IP, 5 H, 7 R, 6 ER, 3 BB, 1 K). The bullpen also got beat around real good. Andy Cox is the only pitcher to not give up a run. He struck out one in his scoreless inning of relief. Bryant “Navy” Flete went 2 for 3 with a double, dinger, and two runs scored total.

Dayton had Tuesday off.

Billings Mustangs 3, Grand Junction Rockies 2

Noah “Ark” Davis started for Billings and allowed 2 runs on 3 hits with 3 walks and 2 strikeouts over 4 innings of work. Ian Koch came in and threw 3 shutout innings while walking none and striking out 4. Quincy “Anti-Virus” McAfee went 2 for 3 with a RBI and Edwin “Yawn” Yon went 2 for 4 with a double.

Greeneville Reds 1, Burlington Royals 3

Jake “Gullible” Gilbert gave up two earned runs over four innings on five hits, no walks, while striking out four. Jacques “Machu” Pucheau struck out three in three scoreless innings of relief. Danny “Boy” Lantigua went 2 for 3 with a walk.
