Chattanooga Lookouts 8, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 6

Chattanooga won their 2nd straight with a 8-6 win over Jacksonville on Tuesday. “Livin’ in a van down by the” Reiver SanMartin got hit early and often, allowing 6 runs (4 earned) on 10 hits with no walks and 1 strikeouts over 4.2 innings. Taylor Trammell went 2 for 5 and smacked a 2-run dinger while Ibandel “Dinger” Isabel went 2 for 5 with a grand slam, his 20th of the year. Michael “Head Rub” Beltre also hit a home run, this one of the solo variety.

The Lookouts play tonight at 7:05 PM EDT.

Daytona Tortugas 2, Tampa Tarpons 9

That was ugly. Jared “Song of” Solomon was cruising right along until the 5th inning, until he allowed 4 of the 6 runs that were scored in the 5th. In all he pitched 4.1 innings and gave up 4 runs on 4 hits with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts. Michael “Feel The” Byrne struck out 2 in 2 scoreless innings. Alejo Lopez did about the only thing worth writing home about offensively. He went 1 for 2 with a 2-run tank and walked twice. Stuart “Little” Fairchild hit a double.

Daytona plays tonight against Tampa at 7:05 PM EDT.

Dayton Dragons 0, Bowling Green Hot Rods 3

The Low-A team did even worse than their High-A brethren, failing to score in a 3-0 loss. James Marinan started and went 2.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits with 2 walks and 2 striekouts. Alexis Diaz struck out 4 in 4 scoreless innings. The offense only had 4 hits all night so I won’t worry about them.

Dayton will attempt to score a run tonight against Bowling Green at 7:00 PM EDT.

Billings Mustangs 5, Great Falls Voyagers 1

Miguel Medrano has been fantastic for Billings this season. He continued that last night with his best outing of the year. He pitched 5 innings and allowed no runs on 1 hit with no walks and 7 strikeouts. He now owns a 1.50 ERA through 4 starts in 2019. Well done. Johnnie Schneider followed that up by allowing 2 hits and no runs while striking out 5 in 2 innings of work. Matt Lloyd “Christmas” went 2 for 4 with a double and a solo blast and Reniel Ozuna went 2 for 2 with a double and 2 walks.

Billings plays tonight at 7:00 PM MDT.

Greeneville Reds 5, Johnson City Cardinals 10

Things have not gone well for the Greeneville Reds this year. They lost their 5th straight by a score of 10-5 on Tuesday. Things were even worse for Graham Ashcraft, who allowed all 10 runs on 10 hits in 2 innings of work. Garrett Wolforth went 3 for 4 with a double and a RBI. Raul Juarez went 1 for 4 with a 2-run homer and 2 runs scored and Cristian Olivo went 2 for 5 with a RBI and scored a run.

Greeneville plays tonight at 7:00 PM EDT.
