Chadwick “Chadterrell” Tromp smacked a pinch hit home run, as well. Meanwhile, the Bats got a somewhat rare quality start from Vlad “The Impaler” Gutierrez.

Michael Beltre was just sent down to Daytona earlier in the week, but he jumped all over A+ pitching, with four hits. Jonathan “BaseBollywood” India got two hits, but he spent his time at DH, probably because he was a little banged up in a game last week.

The pitching is the story for Dayton in this one, as neither Adrian Rodriguez and Jerry D’Andrea combined to allow only two hits and one earned run, striking out eight River Bandits along the way.

So, Mike Siani hasn’t really hit for any power this year. However, since June 1st, he is batting 316/.373/.374 as a 19 year old in A ball, so that’s pretty okay. I assume he’s still playing a dazzling CF, so I think this is coming along okay.
