As the Reds head into the All-Star break, they find themselves in the middle of an important series. Unfortunately, they also find themselves down 1-0 in this important series, as they blew yet another lead to the Milwaukee Brewers last night. That loss makes the next three games that much more important, as they have a great chance to improve their standing in the National League Central. They will send Tanner Roark to the mound who, as you can see below, has been fantastic lately. He owns a 1.96 ERA over his last 3 starts, which includes an outing in Milwaukee where he allowed only 1 run over 6 innings of work while walking none and striking out 7. Hopefully he continues his strong run tonight.
The Brewers will counter with Chase Anderson. Anderson owns a 4.42 ERA this season and did not have the best of luck against these Reds the last time they faced off. He allowed 6 runs in 5 innings of work back on June 21.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 PM EDT. Go Reds.
