Farmers Only: Dayton Crushes Beloit

Also, the Greeneville pitching staff was quite impressive.

Brandon Larson Honorary Star Of The Night

Mike Siani - 2 for 3, 2 BB

Louisville Bats 1, Pawtucket Red Sox 2

Tejay “Fire” Antone got the job done but had a pretty ugly stat line. He gave up two earned runs over six innings on seven hits, four walks, while striking out only two. Brad “Smelly” Markey struck out one in two innings. Sadly, Tejay got the hard luck loss because the offense is stagnate. Narciso “I’m Not A” Crook went 2 for 4 with a triple. Christian Colon “Blow” doubled and walked, and Blake Trahan walked twice.

Chattanooga Lookouts 3, Biloxi Shuckers 4

Packy “Sacky” Naugton gave up an earned run over three innings on two hits, one walk, while striking out two. I’m not entirely sure why he only went three innings. I didn’t see any immediate reports. He pitched 154 innings last year so I don’t think they’d be slowing down on how much he’s been pitching. Maybe he just didn’t feel well. Mitch “Cray” Nay went 2 for 3 with a double, a walk, and a run scored. Tyler Stephenson also doubled and walked, and it sure would be nice if he’d get out of his slump.

Daytona had the night off, which means a shorter night for me. I’m sure me saying that will piss someone off.

Dayton Dragons , Beloit Snappers 1

I actually just drove through Beloit yesterday. If you haven’t been, you’re not missing much. Eduardo “SHAZAM” Salazar pitched pretty well. He pitched 4.2 shutout innings on five hits, two walks, while striking out four. “Tom ‘N” Jerry D’Andrea pitched two scoreless innings to shut the door. The story here is the offense, which we don’t get to say much. Pabel “Pepper” Manzanero hit a two run dinger and walked. “Iron” Mike Siani went 2 for 3 with two walks, Claudio “It’s The” Finol “Countdown” went 3 for 4 with a double, RBI, and a walk, and Bren “Biff” Spillane went 3 for 5 with two RBI and two runs scored.

Billings Mustangs 1, Grand Junction Rockies 12

Grossssssssssssssssssssssssss. Billings had three errors which certainly didn’t help their pitchers. Jeffy “El” NIno struck out three in two innings, Andrew “Old” McDonald struck out one in an inning, and Valentin Martinez struck out two in an inning. All of those appearances didn’t have earned runs because we’ll just talk about happy things. Jonathan “Free” Willems went 2 for 4 with a double, and James “Olly Olly Oxen” Free went 2 for 4 with the lone RBI.

Greeneville Reds 5, Kingsport Mets 2

Jose “Saving” Salvador pitched well. He gave up two earned runs over five innings on four hits, no walks, while striking out six. Alec “Big” Byrd struck out five in two shutout innings, and Tanner “Hide” Cooper struck out two in two scoreless to pick up the save. That’s thirteen total strikeouts and the bullpen really locked it down. Cameron Warren knocked in three with his first homer of the year, and Garrett “Woolsworth” Wolforth went 2 for 3 with a double, 2 RBI, and a walk.
