Louisville Bats 2, Indianapolis Indians 5

Louisville fell 5-2 in a rain-shortened game on Wednesday night. Keury “Mehlla” Mella got the start and wasn’t great. He allowed 4 runs on 8 hits with 2 walks and no strikeouts in 6 innings of work. Tristian Archer struck out 1 in a scoreless inning of relief. Scott Schebler went 1 for 1 with a solo dinger and 2 walks and “General” Sherman Johnson went 2 for 3.

Vladimir Gutierrez starts tonight at 7:04 PM EDT.

Chattanooga Lookouts 5, Mobile BayBears 7

Tony Santillan got the start for Chattanooga on Wednesday and Santigold, he was not. He allowed 5 runs, all in the first, on 7 hits with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts over 4 innings of work. Mitch “Yay” Nay went 2 for 5 with 2 doubles and Gavin LaValley went 2 for 4 with a double, a walk, and 1 RBI. Taylor Trammell drove in 2 on a 1 for 4 night.

Daytona Tortugas 3, Bradenton Marauders 2

A 3-run 6th inning was enough to propel Daytona to a win on Wednesday. Wennington “Wherefore Art Thou” Romero got the start and was solid, allowing 1 run on 3 hits with no walks and 5 strikeouts over 4.1 innings of work. Ryan “Busta” Nutof struck out 2 in a scoreless inning of relief. Jose Garcia went 1 for 3 with a double and scored a run and Drew Mount went 1 for 4 and drove in a run.

Dayton Dragons 4, West Michigan Whitecaps 3

Jared Solomon started for Dayton and pitched well, allowing 1 run on 5 hits with a walk and 4 strikeouts in 5 innings of work. Matt Pidich struck out 4 in 1.1 innings of relief. This was a really sloppy game, actually, as both teams combined to commit eight (8!) errors on the evening. Dayton was responsible for 5 of them. Oof. Miles “Flash” Gordon went 1 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI and Miguel Hernandez went 2 for 4 with a double and drove in 1.

Jhon De Jesus starts tonight for Dayton at 7:05 PM EDT.
