Farmers Only: Eye Balls Sliced, Ballgames Won, O’Grady Bashes

I literally put everything that happened in the title. Look up there.

Brian O’Grady - 2 for 3, HR, 3 RBI, BB

Louisville Bats 7, Indianapolis Indians 6

Brad “Expo” Markey, who looks to have just been picked up by the Reds, pitched somewhat reasonably. He allowed two earned over six innings on four hits, three, walks, while striking out only one. Jimmy “Drink To” Herget and Ian “Bar” Krol both pitched scoreless innings out of the pen. Brian “The Beef” O’Grady went 2 for 3 with a 2-run dinger, 3 RBI total, a walk, and two runs scored. If you didn’t know AAA has been using the MLB baseball this season and the offense has skyrocketed. I wonder. It was his fifteenth home run of the year. I mean, you still need to put the bat on the ball but a lot of guys are having career power years in AAA. Nick “Sweet Buzz” Longhi went 2 for 4 and “Great” Scott Schebler knocked in two with a double.

Louisville is up again at 7:00 PM ET.

Chattanooga Lookouts 5, Mobile BayBears 4

Packy “Sacky” Naughton continues to be just freaking unhittable in AA. It’s getting a bit ridiculous at this point. Over the course of two separate levels he has a 2.67 ERA with a 1.6 BB/9 and a 8.4 K/9. Remember he’s only a 9th round pick out of Virginia Tech in 2017. Cory Thompson pitched himself a clean inning with a strikeout. Alfredo “PastaRod” Rodriguez went 2 for 3 with two runs scored and two walks. TJ “You Got A” Friedl “In Me” went 2 for 5 with a triple and a RBI, and Mitch “Yes” Nay went 2 for 4 with a run scored and a RBI.

The Lookouts play at 7:15 PM ET.

Daytona Tortugas 6, Bradenton Marauders 1

Ryan Lillie “Pad” has been a dang good pick up for the Reds brass. Lillie pitched six shutout innings on two hits, two walks, while striking out seven. The 23 year old has a 3.07 ERA in 67.1 innings this year. Stuart “Little” Fairchild went 3 for 4 with a solo dinger, and Jose “Cherry” Garcia went 3 for 4 with a double and a run scored. Alejo Lopez singled, walked, and scored a run.

Daytona plays at 7:05 PM ET.

Dayton Dragons 3, West Michigan Whitecaps 2

Andy “Spittin” Salinas was great. He pitched six innings while only giving up one unearned run on five hits, no walks, while striking out four. “Ed, Edd, and” Eddy Demurias pitched a scoreless 9th to pick up his first save. Mike Siani went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI and a walk, Jay “Bird” Schuyler went 2 for 5, and Brian “Say Hey” Rey went 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored.

Jared Solomon pitches at 7:05 PM ET.
