With the nightmare road trip over, the Reds return to GABP for a series against the Cubs. Not exactly the team they want to see in the middle of a 4-game losing streak, but this series is an excellent chance to make up some ground in the division.
Sonny Gray takes the mound for Cincinnati. Gray hasn’t been sharp in his last few starts, and this’ll be the second time he’s faced the Cubs this season, his first start against them being a 3-run, 5-inning affair.
He’ll face Cole Hamels for Chicago, who has been one of the best starters in the NL. Hamels hasn’t gone less than 7 innings so far in June, so the Reds could be in for a long evening.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 PM EDT, with Scooter Gennett batting 6th. Go Reds.
