Brandon Larson Honorary Star Of The Night
Allan Cerda - 4 for 5, 2 HR, 7 RBI, 3 R
Louisville Bats 3, Toledo Mud Hens 4
Eric “Thick” Stout gave up the quality kind of start if you’re talking about quality starts in 2019. Stout gave up three earned runs over five innings on five hits, zero walks, while striking out two. He gave up THREE dingers. I guess that’s lessening the damage. Joel “Sofa King” Kuhnel struck out one in 1.1 clean innings. “Butch” Cassidy Brown knocked a solo dinger, and Christian “Bum” Colon went 2 for 3 with two doubled and a walk. Aristides “Not Horseshit” Aquino also sloggered a bomb that was worth two runs. It was his 17th of the year.
Louisville will play at 7:00 PM.
Chattanooga Lookouts 3, Tennessee Smokies 7
Reiver “Regiver” Sanmartin took his second start in AA and it wasn’t the worst. He gave up two earned runs (five total) on eight hits, one walk, while striking out five. I like the guy, and I am looking forward to see his adjustments to AA. Jesse “James” Stallings struck out one in an a perfect inning. Ibandel “BIG DINGERS” Isabel knocked a booyah worth three runs. Taylor Trammell made his return (he may have made it earlier in the week and I wasn’t paying attention) and walked. He was also replaced so they’re probably being super careful with him.
The Lookouts get at it at 7:15 PM ET.
Daytona Tortugas 2, Tampa Tarpons 7
Jared “Temple Of” Solomon had some decent peripherals but failed at the main part of the game. He gave up four earned runs over six innings on nine hits, one walk, while striking out six. He also has a 3.48 ERA which is pretty decent. The bullpen didn’t help the situation. Jonathan India went 2 for 4 with a double, triple, and knocked in two. Lorenzo Cedrola went 2 for 4 with a triple.
Daytona has Dunedin at 7:05 PM ET.
Dayton Dragons 3, West Michigan Whitecaps 6
Daaaaaang, James “Poop” Marinan was poop. He gave up six earned runs over five innings on twelve hits, no walks, while striking out two. Adrian “Turtles” Rodriguez struck out two in two innings, and Connor Bennett pitched a clean inning. Miles “James” Gordon went 2 for 4 with a RBI, and Mariel “Ariel” Bautista went 2 for 5 with a double. Bren “And Stimpy” Spillane show his chops as a singles hitter by going 3 for 3 with a walk. He’s hitting .168.
Dayton plays at 7:05 PM ET.
Billings Mustangs 2, Missoula Osprey 7
Ricky “Street” Karcher pitched three shutout innings and gave up no hits while giving up four walks while striking out three hits. “Fat” Alberto Gonzalez struck out four in 2.1 innings. Claudio “Figaro” Finol went 2 for 4 with a triple. Quin “Fiddy Men” Cotton went 1 for 3 with two walks.
Billings games at 6:35 PM MT.
Greeneville Reds 10, Johnson City Cardinals 0
Graham “Cracker” Ashcraft was excellent. He pitched five shutout innings on two hits, no walks, while striking out five. Andy “King” Fisher struck out three in two innings, and Tanner “Mister” Cooper struck out four in two innings. Allan “Beta” Cerda went 4 for 5 with two dingers, seven RBI, and three runs scored. That’s... well.... that’s good. Raul Jaurez went 2 for 4 with a two run homer. Tyler “Tommy” Callihan went 3 for 5, and Danielito Remy went 3 for 5 with a double and three runs scored.
Greeneville plays at 6:30 PM ET.
