Reds at Angels, Game 2: Preview and lineups

MLB: Los Angeles Angels at Toronto Blue Jays Kevin Sousa-USA TODAY Sports

It’s such a 2019 Reds thing to reel off a 6-game winning streak and then immediately lose 3 in a row. But, that’s what the Reds have done and are looking to end that streak tonight against the Los Angeles Angels. Tanner Roark will take the mound for the Reds to try and right the ship. He is coming off of one of his best outings of the season, where he shut down the Milwaukee Brewer offense for 6 innings, allowing only a run while striking out 7. The Angels will counter with Jaime Barria. Barria has not had the best of seasons in 2019, as he brings a 6.52 ERA into tonight’s game. He has been on the shuttle from Anaheim to Triple-A Salt Lake quite a bit this year, most recently getting called back up to start today’s game. He last pitched for the Angels back on June 8, where he kept the Oakland Athletics in check over 5 innings as he allowed only 1 run in that outing. Hopefully the Reds can do a little more damage tonight.

First pitch is scheduled for 8:07 PM EDT. Go Reds!
