After a 4-hour war of attrition last night, we get to watch some afternoon baseball with two exhausted teams today. At least, I’m exhausted having watched it.
The Reds will go for their 7th straight win behind their ace, Luis Castillo. He’s coming off of a 6-inning, 2-run performance against the Astros in his last start. This will be the third time he’s faced the Brew Crew this season, the last time being his shortest outing of the season in Miller Park.
Jhoulys Chacin gets the ball for the Brewers. He’s coming off of a horrendous stretch of 5 straight losses, going back to early May, but beat the Reds the only time he faced them this year.
No Nick Senzel in the lineup today, after he left last night’s game with a migraine. Jose Peraza gets the start in CF. Former Red Yasmani Grandal leads off for Milwaukee today.
First pitch is set for 4:10 PM ET.
