Alfredo Rodriguez - 2 for 3, 2B, 2 BB, 2 R

Louisville Bats 6, Gwinnett Stripers 7

Sadly, Aristides “Bat Meat” Aquino’s hit streak came to an end. He went 0 for 5 with to strikeouts. Dang. Lucas “Fake” Sims took the start and was not good. He gave up five earned runs over three innings on three hits, four walks, while striking out six. “General” Jackson Stephens pitched 1.1 innings with two strikeouts, Jesus “Saves” Reyes struck out one in 1.1 scoreless, and Joe “JoeJoe” Mantiply struck out one in one scoreless. Scott “Chompin” Schebler hit a solo homer. Josh “Put A Quarter In The” VanMeter went 3 for 5 with two runs scored.

Louisville play at 7:04 PM ET. I shit you not. The site said 7:04 PM.

Chattanooga Lookouts 10, Birmingham Barons 9

Tony “Santigold” Santillan took the start and was meh to bad. He gave up five runs, four earned, over six innings on four hits, two walks, while striking out three. Ty “Poppin” Boyles was the one pitcher to have a good evening when he pitched 1.1 scoreless with a strikeout. Alfredo “Little Pasta” Rodriguez continues to light up AA. He went 2 for 3 with a double, two walks, and two runs scored. That OPS is still below .700 because he hits for no power, but I don’t know what else you want to see in AA when you’ve sunk so much money into the guy. He’s also 25. Michael Beltre went 4 for 5 with a RBI, and Narciso “I’m Not A” Crook went 3 for 5 with a double and two runs scored. Mitch Nay knocked in four on a 2 for 4 night with a double as well.

Chattanooga play again on Friday at 7:15 PM ET.

Daytona Tortugas 4, Clearwater Threshers 9

Austin “Animal Farm” Orewiler took the start and was me/good. I guess? He pitched 4 innings and gave up two earned runs on seven hits, two walks, while striking out four. No, nine base runners in four innings is not good. John Ghyzel struck out one in a scoreless inning. Jose “Cherry” Garcia went 3 for 4 with a double, a RBI, and two runs scored.

The Tortugas play at 6:30 PM ET.

Dayton Dragons 7, Lansing Lugnuts 2

Lyon “Heart” Richardson is putting himself together a nice little year. Tonight, he pitched 4.2 innings and gave up two runs. All of this happened on five hits, two walks, while striking out seven. The guy is only 19 years old so it’s pretty nice to see that ERA around 4.00. Matt “Pudding” Pidich struck out two in two scoreless innings. Bren “Spunky” Spillane went 2 for 3 with a double, RBI, and a walk. Jay Schuyler and Pabel Manzanero also went 2 for 4 with walks. One of Pabel’s hits was a double.

Dayton plays at 7:00 PM ET.

Billings Mustangs 2, Great Falls Voyagers 0 (F/6)

Due to the blessing of rain (I know Ohio will disagree with this) Billings finally won their first game. It was also the first professional appearance for Cincinnati’s first round pick, Nick Lodolo. He only pitched an inning but didn’t disappoint. Lodolo threw one scoreless inning giving up a single hit, walking none, and striking out two. Omar Conoropo finished out the game by pitching the final five frames. He didn’t allow a run, obviously, but also only gave up one hit, one walk, while striking out four. Victor “Ree” Ruiz went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBI, and “Doctor” Quin Cotton walked twice.

The Mustangs play Idaho Falls at 7:15 PM MT.

Greeneville Reds 6, Kingsport Mets 13

Anthony Zimmerman is the only pitcher to do anything worth my wasting time typing about. He pitched the final inning and struck out the side. I guess I’ll give Andy Fisher some dap for striking out five in 3.1 innings while only giving up one earned on run on three hits and no walks. That’s good too. Allan Cerda “Sleeper” went 2 for 2 with a a double and 2 RBI.

Greeneville will play at 6:30 PM ET.
