Farmers Only: PHLERVIN AND ALEX

Louisville really got the band back together.

MLB: Cincinnati Reds at New York Mets Wendell Cruz-USA TODAY Sports

Brandon Larson Honorary Star Of The Night

Phillip Ervin - 2 for 4, 2B, 2 R, 2 BB

Louisville Bats 8, Pawtucket Red Sox 10

Eric “Heavy” Stout took the start and was not good. He allowed five earned runs over 3.2 innings on six hits, five walks, while striking out only one. He also gave up two homers. No, not good at all. Jesus “Bread and Fish” Reyes struck out one in his scoreless inning of relief and was the only Bat not to give up a run. Phil “Swervin” Ervin has really been picking up his game. Ervin went 2 for 4 with a double, two runs scored, and walked twice. Alex “Blandinyes” Blandino also walked twice. Aristides “Bueno” Aquino tripled and also walked twice.

The Bats will start weekend play on Friday at 7:00 PM ET.

Chattanooga Lookouts 2, Montgomery Braves 4

Tejay “Ant Toe Knee” Antone had his first real rough start of the season that I can remember. However, he still went seven innings (7 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 4 BB, 5 K). Joel “Slyde” Kuhnel struck out one in a scoreless inning. Mitch Nay went 2 for 3 with a run scored and a walk, and Tyler “Kennesaw Mountain” Stephenson went 2 for 4 with a run scored. Gavin LaValley doubled and walked.

The Lookouts play at 7:15 PM ET.

Daytona had their game banged due to shitty weather. I’m sure they’ll make it up some time.

Dayton Dragon 3, West Michigan Whitecaps 10

James “Sauce” Marinan had his good stuff cooking. He gave up two earned runs over six innings on four hits, two walks, while striking out five. The bullpen was hella bad. Brian “Say Hey” Rey went 2 for 4 with a dinger. Carlos “Bend” Rivero went 1 for 2 with two free passes. That’s it. BORING.

The Dragons play at 7:05 PM.
